AWANA
The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed found in 2
Timothy 2:15
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15
The
goal of AWANA is "to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and
train them to serve Him." The purpose of AWANA is twofold; Evangelism
and Training.
EVANGELISM
- to draw boys and girls from the surrounding community into the club
ministry where they may hear the gospel and accept Christ as Savior.
TRAINING
- to prepare Clubbers to help fulfill the Great Commission through the
lost, service to the local church and development of leadership
qualities.
